Luxury vinyl plank and hardwood flooring installation
LVP is the most common floor we install in Montgomery County homes right now. It handles water better than laminate, it's comfortable underfoot, and it works in kitchens, basements, and busy family rooms. We undercut door jambs so the planks slide underneath instead of butting into trim, stagger the seams so no pattern repeats, and leave the expansion gap the manufacturer calls for so the floor doesn't buckle in August.
Hardwood takes more care with moisture and acclimation, and it rewards that care. We check the subfloor, let the wood sit in the house before install, and run it in the direction that makes the room look longest. Where new flooring meets an existing floor, we plan the transition so the heights work and the joint looks intentional.
Tile installation: floors, showers, and backsplashes
Good tile is mostly invisible work. On floors that means a stiff, flat substrate and full mortar coverage so tiles don't crack or sound hollow. On showers it means a continuous waterproofing membrane behind the tile before the first piece goes up. On every surface it means planning the layout first, so cuts land in corners and grout lines line up with niches, windows, and cabinets. We use leveling clips on large-format tile to keep edges flush.
We enjoy the detailed work too: black-and-white hexagon floors, flower-pattern mosaics, herringbone shower walls, penny tile shower pans, and marble accent bands. Stairs, subfloor prep, and transitions
Stairs are where a flooring job either looks finished or doesn't. We match stair nosing to your new floor, replace or cap treads and risers, and can repaint spindles and refinish handrails while we're there. Before any floor goes down we check the subfloor for soft spots, squeaks, and dips, then screw it down, patch it, or level it as needed. Older homes in Norristown, Conshohocken and Philadelphia often have several layers of old flooring built up over the years, and taking those out is sometimes the only way to get doors and transitions to work.
Tile-only and flooring-only jobs welcome

Flooring and tile questions
Do you take small tile or flooring jobs?
Yes. A single bathroom floor, one backsplash, a shower re-tile, or LVP in a couple of rooms are all jobs we take. They get the same prep and the same free written estimate as larger projects.
Can you install LVP over my existing floor?
Sometimes. If the existing floor is flat, solid, and not too thick, LVP can often go over it. Carpet always comes out, and soft or uneven floors need to be fixed first. We check during the walkthrough and tell you which applies.
Is LVP or hardwood better for my home?
LVP handles water and pets better and works in basements and kitchens. Hardwood can be refinished and suits living areas and bedrooms. Many homes use both, and we plan the transitions so they meet cleanly.
How long does a tile or flooring installation take?
LVP through a few rooms is often a few days. Tile takes longer because mortar and grout need time to set, and patterned or mosaic work adds labor. You'll get a schedule with your estimate.
